After finishing work on their critically acclaimed Thanos series for Marvel Comics, writer Jeff Lemire and artist Mike Deodato Jr. announced they were partnering up for a new creator-owned, sword-and-sorcery series from Dark Horse Comics: Berserker Unbound.
The four-issue mini series follows a warrior transported to a modern-day city while seeking to stop an evil wizard from conquering all of reality. Although the first issue of the series isn’t scheduled to release until August, we’ve got an exclusive preview of the covers for Berserker Unbound #2. The first cover, from Deodato Jr., shows the Mongrel King standing atop the ruins of a building, while the second — from Andrea Sorrentino (Old Man Logan) — shows the warrior jumping through the air, preparing to swing his massive sword as his eyes glow red.
