Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is set in an alternate timeline from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and follows a new protagonist, Shez, on their mission to defeat the Ashen Demon, who returning fans will recognize as the previous game's protagonist, Byleth. However, despite being an antagonist for much of Three Hopes, Byleth is an unlockable playable character who makes their return in a big way.
