Zombieland 2’s First Poster Officially Reveals the Sequel’s Title

Director Ruben Fleischer and company began production on the sequel to 2009’s hit post-apocalyptic film Zombieland this month and now, the official title has been revealed in the movie’s first poster.

The poster, which is a play on the popular #10YearChallenge meme, features the original cast of Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin striking similar poses to the 2009 poster. Emblazoned above the casts’ heads is a banner that reads Zombieland: Double Tap.

Zombieland: Double Tap will see the surviving characters from the first film traverse a zombie-infested United States, with the makeshift family encountering new and evolved forms of the undead as they make their way to the East Coast.

Through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Zombieland: Double Tap stars Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and Woody Harrelson. The film is scheduled to be released on October 11
