Yesterday’s Disney+ showcase featured plenty of exciting projects set in a galaxy far, far away. Fans were treated to the first trailer for The Mandalorian, a premiere date for The Clone Wars, and — perhaps most exciting of all — the announcement that Ewan McGregor will be returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new series.

But back in Novmeber 2018, another live-action series was announced for Disney+ — a Rogue One prequel series that focuses on the early life of Rebel spy Cassian Andor (Diego Luna). That series, which is still untitled, received a bit of attention during the panel with Diego Luna joined onstage by Alan Tudyk, the voice of K-2SO. Both characters will be returning for the upcoming series which was confirmed to begin shooting in London next year.

Unfortunately, that was about the only notable announcement for the series, which remains untitled. Although, Tudyk did have is own suggestion for a name. “Kay-Too Fast, Kay-Too Furious: A Cassian Andor Story,” he joked.

The upcoming prequel series is described as a “rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.”

“Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” Luna said back when the series was first announced. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”

The Rogue One live-action prequel series still doesn’t have a release date, but there will be plenty of Star Wars content hitting Disney+ over the next year. Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian kicks things off with its premiere on Disney+ on November 12.
