‘Venom’ Sequel Could Be Rated-R Now That Sony/Marvel Deal Is Kaput

Andy Serkis’ upcoming Venom sequel could be R-Rated now that Sony and Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man deal has come to an end.

Shocking news hit the internet today as Sony and Marvel Studios have agreed to part ways in their agreement to work on Spider-Man films together. Various details continue to come out and the studios could come back to renegotiate a new deal.

With Sony no longer working with Marvel Studios on Spider-Man films, there is a good chance we will see Tom Holland face Tom Hardy’s Venom down the line. Before Venom earned Sony more than $800 million, there was talk that the film could be Rated-R. Variety’s Justin Kroll has now tweeted out saying that an R-Rated Venom sequel along with other Sony-Marvel films is now a possibility with Disney no longer involved:

Venom 2 will be directed by Andy Serkis from a script written by Kelly Marcel. Here’s the official synopsis for the first film:

The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.

Venom is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD.

‘Titans’ Batmobile Concept Art Reveals Different Takes On Batman’s Iconic Vehicle

Titans BatmobileFollowing its brief appearance in last week’s episode, concept art for Titans’ Batmobile has been released and reveals different takes on Batman’s iconic vehicle.

The latest episode of Titans revealed a brief first look at a new version of the Batmobile while Dick Grayson is in the Batcave via flashback. The final version of the Batmobile in the Titans universe appears to be inspired by Batman 89 and The Animated Series. Concept art has been released and the initial designs were seemingly inspired by many past versions of the Batmobile across different mediums. You can check out the concept art below:
