Mondo Toys Showcase New 12-Inch MOTU, X-Men, and More

Following up on their presentation at [email protected], our friends at Mondo Toys sent over some better resolution images of all their new and upcoming 12-inch figures. Masters of the Universe continues to stay one of their flagship lines, with multiple new variants. But the new X-Men line feels like a surefire hit as well, followed by a tease of another line that looks like their first fully realistic effort.

The only fully new Masters of the Universe figure is She-Ra. Boasting an entirely new female body type, she also features cartoon and toy-style tiaras. Plus her comb accessory, two different styles of Sword of Protection, and Kowl. To face her, the previously released Hordak gets a new version in the cartoon style, with blue skin, white “large jaw” face, and of course Imp. Expect this version in time for Power-Con.

More surprising variants include a Skeletor in the style of the new animated series, Revelation. And Scare Glow, initially redesigned for Mondo as a black base figure with glowing deco, gets a redesign with black deco on a  glowing body. And Man at Arms will become the next figure to get a limited, shiny “Motubi” variant for Designer Con.

Meanwhile, the X-Men animated figures continue with a brown costume variant Wolverine from the “Pryde of the X-Men” pilot that didn’t become a full series. And Magneto comes next, with multiple heads for different looks. In a different style, Mondo showed off their designer vinyl Man Thing artist figure, a highly detailed caricature of the classic swamp monster.

Finally, they teased Macready from The Thing, who’ll be their first attempt at a photo-realistic, live-action, movie-based figure. So far, so good. Take a look at the images in our gallery below. And keep checking Mondoshop.com to see when these products might arrive.
