In two weeks, Jonathan and Jordan Kent will face the shock of their lives when they learn that their father is secretly the world’s greatest superhero. How they cope with this bombshell revelation is a major cornerstone of Superman & Lois, which finally gives Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch their own headlining vehicle after years of recurring appearances on other Arrowverse shows. Now, The CW has released over a dozen new images that tease the next chapter in the Kent family’s lives.
Jonathan and Jordan are already going through a period of tumultuous change in their lives when the series begins. Naturally, they’re dealing with the usual helping of teenage angst. But they’ve also just moved back to their father’s hometown of Smallville. And when their dad finally shares the truth about his Kryptonian heritage, it doesn’t make things any easier for them.
Fortunately, the boys find a friendly face amid their unfamiliar surroundings. Some of the new photos show them hanging out with Sarah Cushing. In this universe, Sarah is the daughter of Clark’s ex, Lana Lang, and her husband, Kyle. The show’s producers have also described Sarah as a “wild child” with her own set of demons. So whatever she and the brothers are doing snooping around in what looks like the Kent barn at night, it might not bode well for their families’ relationship.
Superman & Lois premieres on Tuesday, February 23 on The CW. The series’ 90-minute first episode will be followed by a new special, Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope, which features a behind-the-scenes look at the series as well as interviews with the cast and crew about the legacy of the title characters.
